Overcome the weaknesses of iron frying pans!
Lightweight, non-stick, and rust-resistant! The TETTO series is the ultimate in ease of use for iron frying pans.
Point 1: "Extremely light!"
If the frying pan is too thin, the food will not cook well.
Because heat is not transferred evenly, there is little temperature difference between the parts exposed to the fire and the parts not exposed to the fire, which makes it easy for the food to cook unevenly or burn.
A frying pan that is thick enough to cook delicious food without being too heavy.
For those who are concerned about deformation, we also offer a "thick plate type."
This type can store heat well and is suitable for baking and cooking.
Recommended for those using induction cooktops.
Point 2: "Rust resistant"
Nitrided frying pans have nitrogen penetrated into the surface of the iron, forming a "nitride layer (a layer of nitrogen compounds)," which makes it difficult for iron to react directly with oxygen.
Nitriding creates a layer of iron nitride on the surface, which is made up of iron (Fe) and nitrogen (N), preventing oxygen and moisture in the air from bonding directly with the iron and causing oxidation (rust).
Unlike coated frying pans made with materials such as fluororesin, nitriding changes the surface of the iron itself, so even if the surface is scraped, the base retains the same properties and is less likely to deteriorate.
Point 3: "Non-stick"
"Will it stick...?" This is one of the biggest concerns customers have. The "TETTO - Tate Series -" is a nitrided iron frying pan made by a long-established manufacturer in Tsubame-Sanjo. Using a unique nitriding process, the surface of the frying pan is formed with irregularities of approximately 2-3 μm. These irregularities create a "porous effect," reducing the contact area between the food and the pan, making it less likely for food to stick. Furthermore, the fine irregularities allow oil to easily penetrate the surface, allowing it to be firmly retained and spread evenly. This further reduces food sticking during cooking, makes it easy to use even for beginners, and makes cleaning and maintenance after cooking easier.
